Iskcon Temple is one of the largest temples in India. It  couldn’t have gotten any perfect timing than a krishnastami to visit this beautiful temple.I reckon it was the apt day for us to take darshan of the Lord Krishna. This day called for a huge celebration all over.

Ravi and I decided to go to this beautiful temple yesterday on the eve of krishnastami. It was about 50 mins drive  from Reading. It was a comfortable drive. We reached there around 12 noon. The atmosphere was so pious with so many people chanting the Hare krishna Manthra which was so soothing to hear.We became one in the crowd and started singing the manthra with them. The  feeling  way after the chanting was very gratifying.

For all i know it looked like a team effort to me.We had couple of rounds there just to check the arrangements. It was incredible.Soon after that we were very peckish decided to eat in the Govardhan stall which was put up there. It had a long queue ,we waited finally we ordered samosa chat, pizza and tapioca chips. It was reasonably hot so we didn’t like it much.

We sneaked in to the darshan line at a very decided point in time.It was quite a long wait.It was manageable, finally we entered lord Krishna’s Mandir. It was amazing to see the decorations and the amount of money that goes into it.

It was a nice day spent at the mandir.

My Birthday!!!!!

As every year this birthday was full of surprises.Surprises are always so pleasant. Who wouldn’t want to be surprised on their birthday eve! Thanks to my hubby who made it possible for me.

The previous evening was so exciting, Ravi came home pretending as though he was totally unaware of my birthday. Sneakily, he had hidden all the gifts in the car,and surprised me with a bouquet of flowers,a night dress(he he i would always tease him for this, although, how cute). When I walked into the lounge, the cake was on the table, the candles lit and the ambience was absolutely romantic. It felt like a perfect date. For all i know i looked like a princess with tiara and wand in my hand.I felt like a beautiful dream, but it was actually happening. For once, i wished i could stop the time then.

What a cherishing birthday.I Would always  thank god for this wonderful gift – Ravi himself. I couldn’t have asked for anything more in my life.

Thanks Baby!!!!!!I have fallen in love with you all over again!!!!!!I can’t stop saying this!!I Your love has made all the difference in my life.

Valentine’s day!!!!!!!

It’s already been 3 days since Valentine’s day, but still can’t seem to get over the hangover.

It was a pleasant day with line of surprises, Ravi had planned the day very aesthetically, couldn’t have asked for a better 1st valentine’s day. Honestly, never expected Ravi to be so statuesque, he kept  giving me one flower at a time every half an hour, which kept me inquisitive to know what’s in store for me in the next half an hour.

The evening was incredibly beautiful with all the candles lit, bouquet, gifts and the most delectable ragada pattice.

What more could one ask for!! An apt ambience for romance. He managed to do everything so sneakily.

I have been blessed and fortunate to have him in my life!!!!!!!Thanks for being there!!!!!!

Dunelm Experience!!!!!!

It was Jan 23rd 2011 when Ravi got this amazing mail which had incredible offers exclusively for that day. Having known me and my crazy fetish he quickly forwarded the mail to me. I scanned through the products I must say, some of them really caught my attention.

I place an order for a few things, soon after that, i get a mail thanking me for placing the order and stated that i would be contacted shortly.

And then the trouble starts –

Firstly, I had to wait for more than 3 weeks before I received any email from the dispatch center. After having called them several times, and having emailed several times, I finally receive an order dispatch email. Not that I’m penny pinching but I did easily notice a discrepancy of 2.04 quids from the time I had placed my order. Fair enough, they resolved the issue after a phone call. What follows is a long long duration of uncalled delay. I was very excited to see all the items I had ordered for in my hands at the earliest, but it was really frustrating to wait all this while just to realize that the staff had not cared to call me up when the products had arrived in the store due for collection.

So, we reach there with a copy of the confirmation letter. The receptionist out there was totally oblivious about this entire scenario, this cliché was equally fractious. We were made to wait for close to 20 mins and finally she managed to find it. We were the last ones to leave the shop apart from the cleaners.

To conclude I would say that Dunelm-mill’s service is absolutely diabolical and I personally wouldn’t recommend online shopping!!

Nevertheless, I still love all the items I purchased!! Happy me!

A Day @ Bristol

Bristol is a nice  and a very pleasant city  less crowded unlike  London and other cities in the UK and yet maintains it’s fiestiness. One could explore the city at it’s peak, it has huge shopping malls like IKEA etc.One of the reasons, why I was drawn into the city was, for it’s delectable food. We had a meal in a restaurant called – Thali Cafe, and must mention the food was at it’s best; both of us felt at home immediately tasting the yummy paratha and bhajji; truly made us feel nostalgic and missed India to death.

Drove back home. What a day to cherish!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to my hubby for making it possible!!!!!!!!

In continuation to my earlier blog… just trying to accentuate on my ongoing driving lesson. It’s been an incredible journey so far merrily embracing it. I am already through with 3 classes. I was completely a novice before that, but now making myself familiar with the brakes, round-abouts, T-Junctions, reverse and so many other things, simultaneously preparing myself for the upcoming theory test…hmm Gosh!!!!!! It’s quite painful to remember the norms considering the fact that i am very oblivious. It’s gonna be a challenge although. It’s indeed fun at the same time.

Well, never really envisaged that I would start driving one day, for the fact that I once dreaded and was phobic.
